A new background, yay! I was sick of the old one already so I sifted through some interesting artwork (read: creepy) and found this one called "Please me one more time". A pretty strong sexual/possible bestiality undertone there but let's just ignore that. ;)
Not much new, as usual. I write a bit here and there, play some games, take walks, listen to music, read, and nap. Looks like Becky, Aner, Jesse and I will be going up north this weekend. I just bought a new camera, a Canon PowerShot, so looks like I will be testing it out come Saturday.
I have a few pages left of Sharon Shinn's
Archangel, which was pretty good. Every year, angels and people gather on the plains to sing the Gloria to 'the god', which is led by the archangel and his/her wife/husband. If the Gloria is not performed, god will destroy the earth. Gabriel is the new archangel and when he finds his angelica, a bitter slave named Rachel who has no desire to marry him or lead a praise to the god, things get complicated. Plus the old archangel, Raphael, doesn't want to give up his seat so problems abound in the few months before the Gloria.
I expected more romance and the touching scenes between Rachel and Gabriel were few and far between. Plus she was kind of a bitch so by the end I just wanted him to slap some sense into her. Gah! Women.
