Well, long time no write! I'm such a lazy fool.
I actually took a four day weekend this past week just to chillax and Libby, Becky and I went down to Mitsuwa on Tuesday. What a fiasco that was! We took a wrong turn shortly after getting into Chicago and had to take a different exit and try it again. We got there 2-something and left around 6. Man, I cannot believe how much money I spent! Last time I bought nothing but junk food. This time I bought tons of real food, 2 or 3 snacks, a handcrafted cup, some pens, sake, a tamagoyaki pan (finally!) and a mini folding screen thing. I also ate some pork buns, dumpling soup, and a green tea agar fruit parfait thing. Delicious! It wasn't that busy and luckily we weren't the only "conspicuous whities" there, as Becky thought. I freaking love that place!!
I read a lot lately but the only book that really made an impression was
The Forests of Hands and Teeth. If you haven't read that book...freaking read it. It's the first book in a long time that brought me to tears. I stayed up all hours of the night, the anticipation so intense that I was physically ill. It has one of the saddest scenes I've read and even though I knew it was coming, I still couldn't stop the tears. :'( Mary, the protagonist, lives in an enclosed village that is surrounded by the Unconsecrated (zombies). Ever since the Return, people have been changing into undead monsters and Mary's fellow villagers believe they are the only survivors left on the planet. The unconsecrated never stop testing the fences for weak spots and their constant moaning is just another aspect of life in the village. But when Mary's mother strays too close to the fence, it sets off a chain of events that upsets the balance of the entire village and leaves Mary and a few others with nowhere to run...
My weight is still on the decline. Slower now, but still; according to my Wii fit I've lost about 8 pounds! Libby said that Corey even noticed. Good sign! Still playing FF13 as well. I hit a road block and gave up for a week but now I'm back in full force. Hopefully I can beat it soon!

Kissing on the wall trying not to fall
Into your heart, and into your head
Take me somewhere else, take me to your bed
Naive, young, and not too clever
