Claws in the Dirt
Sunday, January 17, 2010

Ah, Sunday. The last breath before another week of stupid-ass work. Ugh!! I'm robed in my room trying to decide how best to waste my remaining weekend time.

I watched a bunch of movies this weekend, the new ones being The Great Outdoors and The Hangover at Libby and Corey's place. Becky and I went over there for a house warming/movie night thing and had some alcohol and watched the movies. It was kinda weird because Libby fell asleep on the chair so Corey smashed between Becky and I on the couch the whole time, and would not let us leave. He's like, "It's all good, we're going to watch Empire Records now!" at midnight, and I was like, "No, we'll watch it next time, see ya!" and it still took us like twenty minute to get out the door. Libby finally got up crazed mad and chased us out because Corey had been drinking and she wanted to go to bed. Phew!

The other movie I saw was No Country for Old Men, which I liked enough to watch twice. I may have to buy it. Javier Bardem was just so awesome as the relentless hitman, I could watch it a million times and not get sick of it. Not my type of movie but for some reason I just loved it.

Today we're all going to see The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. I'm hoping it will be good, as I've only heard good things about it, and it's Heath Ledger's real final movie. Plus Johnny Depp is in it, yum! I heard he won an award for actor of the decade, which he totally deserved!

Other than that, nothing up but the usual. I'm debating whether to start Wolf's Rain or just turn off the TV and write. I should do the latter but you know how lazy I am. ;) Currently I'm doing neither and the Spanish channel is playing with some weird cooking show about some guy wearing a do-rag. Okay.

"A comma of silence
Relieves all the violence
You've dragged into bed
With the sheets soaking red
It's a glimmer of light
Through a prism
That's calling a truce" -"Song for the Dead", Sea Wolf
