What is with the snow??? I wouldn't mind if the roads weren't out to KILL ME. Oh well, rather a white Christmas than a freezing brown one, ick.

So I broke down and bought this awesome bento box from Ebay today. I can't wait to get it!!!! It's just a fun Japanese lunch box with 2 levels and it comes with its own chopsticks and carrying bag! My plan is that I'll have rice every day and just fill it with random cut up fruits and veggies and such. It would cut my weekly lunch cost way down and it would be much healthier for me. Then maybe I could get a phone that actually WORKS!! (yeah my phone is out of service so text messages/calls are a no-go).

Ah, the beautiful beautiful snow!!! Here are some awesome winter songs to get you in the mood whether you like it or not. Haha! And they're all English this year so you should check them out.

--Patrick Wolf - "The Magic Position"
A very upbeat indiepop song with lots of random instruments. Kinda makes me think of riding on a merry-go-round.
--Cloud Cult - "Take Your Medicine"
This song really picks up around 1:30 when they bust out the xylophone. Oh yeah, the ultimate snow instrument!
--Bloc Party - "So Here We Are"
A good tinkly song, but the loud repeating tune in the back is annoying after a while.
--The Twilight Sad - "Cold Days From the Birdhouse"
A sad song, I like listening to it driving home from work when it's snowing.
--Brendan Benson - "Cold Hands Warm Heart"
Happy indie pop. The tune in the back is just awesome.
--Melody Club - "Cats in the Dark"
Love this band, all their music is fun, uplifiting synthpop. Pretty much all of their songs are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
--Fleet Foxes - "White Winter Hymnal"
Like the name implies, this song sounds like a happy church hymn. I think there's even a tambourine in there.
--Fleet Foxes - "Drops in the River"
More epic folk/indie music. Sooooooo good!
--Fleet Foxes - "He Doesn't Know Why"
Same as above. :)
--The Killers - "Losing Touch"
Driving winter music. 2:36-2:52 is pure magic.
--Doves - "Pounding"
More driving music.
--Stars - "One More Night"
Sleepy, dark night music. A good snowfall watching song.

"And so you make it your own
but this is where your arm can't go
And your red sky at night won't follow me,
it won't follow me now" - "Cold Days From the Birdhouse", The Twilight Sad
