Took today off work because I felt like it (I planned it a while ago) and spent the whole day making a new layout. Huzzah! I wanted to do a fall looking one so I opted for brown. The pics are from a manga series called
Dogs: Bullets and Carnage that has
the HOTTEST character ever, the dude on the left, Haine. Miwa Shirow draws the most beautiful yet simple characters... I actually colored the pic of them sitting together myself in PSP, which took forever! I think it looks pretty good though. :)
To get the words to wrap nicely around the icon for each post they had to either be super crunched or super spaced, so I tried it a little different for once. I kinda like it, but it makes my posts look super long :P
Weekend stuff! Libby's birthday was yesterday and I didn't even get her anything! :O I'm so terrible, but to be fair no one else did either. Plus Libby bough us all lunch for some reason so she actually gave more than we did. Wtf? We had fun carving pumpkins, I'll put up a pic later if I can hook up Libby's camera!
Election tomorrow!!! Definitely voting for McCain. Have you f-ing read anything about Obama other than what the media tells you?? The media has its head so far up Obama's ass it's ridiculous. He's as left as you can possibly go and his views are extremist. I can't believe my generation has fallen so hard for his crap just because he promises "change". Open your eyes, people! If you're only getting your info from other people and the media, they've got you completely fooled. I don't want to force my views on you but you need to know exactly what the person you're voting for is
really going to do for this country.
I just don't know how our generation can be so stupid as to think there will be "world peace". It's not even an issue of hope, it's an issue of common sense. With all the different cultures and religions around the world there is just
no way that people will ever be peaceful. It's just not in our nature. Look at Islam; they're f-ing INSANE. People say they hate us because of the Crusades but they're way off, look at this;
"
But the truth is that the Crusades had nothing to do with colonialism or unprovoked aggression -- and in
A CONCISE HISTORY OF THE CRUSADES, renowned medieval historian Thomas F. Madden sets the record straight. The Crusades, he shows, were not the brainchild of an ambitious pope or rapacious knights but a
RESPONSE to more than four centuries of conquests in which Muslims had already captured two thirds of the old Christian world. At some point, Christianity as a faith and a culture had to defend itself or be subsumed by Islam. The Crusades were that defense. Their entire subsequent history is one of Western
REACTION to Muslim advances -- they were no more offensive than was the American invasion of Normandy."
I'm tired. I think I'll watch some
Ergo Proxy.
