Broadening my Horizons
Sunday, February 24, 2008

Went to Old Country Buffet tonight with the family plus significant others and Caroline. She looks so old!! She's only 38 but looks 48. I haven't seen her in a while so maybe it's just me...

Downloaded a bunch of random songs lately that I can't believe I'm listening to. But I can't be prejudiced against other genres (except jazz because I hate it) so I'm broadening my musical horizons. I've got rock, hip hop, indie, and even R&B. Some songs include...
T Pain - Apple Bottom Jeans (I admit it!)
Buckcherry - Sorry (looooove them!!! Crazy Bitch is a great one too)
Arcade Fire - Intervention (funeral march under a starry sky...can't explain this one)
Vampire Weekend - A-Punk (catchy background music)
Kaiser Chefs - Ruby (awesomely addicting indie song!)
Timbaland - Apologize (I admit this one, too!)
J Holiday - Suffocate (r&b that actually has good lyrics! hanging out with Becky too much...)
Sally Shapiro - He Keeps me Alive (Freezepop toned down 3 notches)
Rogue Wave - Lake Michigan (who doesn't know this song now...)
Papa Roach - Forever (what a hauntingly beautiful song...especially that little guitar riff before each chorus. creepily romantic, just the way I like it)

I also sent a home made thank you card to my Aunt Janet with one of my anime pictures on it. She wrote me an email saying that she wants to do a collaboration with me! She has a writing degree so she thinks if we work together someone will look at it. :)

Bored...maybe I'll go to OneManga and read something.

Doing a movie day/night tomorrow with Dean! Yay! I'm low on dough though so hopefully it won't be too much -_- Also gotta remember to get gas...

Oh! Saw that guy from Across the Universe in a preview for some other movie coming out...don't remember what it's called, but he has an American accent now. :)

"Take these memories
That are hurting me
Of a paper man cut into shreds
By his own pair of scissors
He'll never forgive her..." -"Forever", Papa Roach
